Summary:
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials from weld suppliers.
Duties include but not limited to; reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors, and purchasing to determine progress of work, delivery dates, parts and material availability, and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work and production problems.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee, train/develop, evaluate, and monitor weld suppliers.
Ensure all applicable L&M procedures are followed by suppliers when manufacturing L&M products.
Conduct quarterly supplier audits and onsite visits.
Control/manage shop procedures/shop work instructions for suppliers.
Work with suppliers on all new products - ensure they have the tools/fixtures to produce.
Ensure L&M staff is inputting supplier rework correctly.
Work with L&M FARO to ensure necessary supplier parts are being measured accordingly.
Ensure suppliers have the appropriate resources to handle the workload.
Responsible for supplier rework; dispositions, reporting/communicating daily/weekly/monthly to suppliers and PC, appropriating costing.
Responsible for effectively communicating with Production Coordinator if ship dates cannot be met or delays occur for other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Examine documents, materials, and products; monitor work processes for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to print.
Account for shortages and missing parts pertaining to weld suppliers.
Domestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project.
Perform related work or job duties as required by supervisor.
Performs work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines/procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for Entry Level:
Regular and reliable attendance.
Work well in highly changing environment.
Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.
Use of MS Office 365 applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, Team, SharePoint.
Maintain quality and safety standards.
Understanding of L&M blueprints/L&M welding procedures/SolidWorks or similar drafting software Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
Extensive knowledge of the functions in welding and fabrication concepts and techniques.
Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
Work effectively and efficiently in the resolution of difficult and/or stressful issues.
Prepare routine administrative reports and paperwork.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Ability to pass a DMV check, pre-employment, physical, drug and background test.
Minimum Qualifications for Application:
High school diploma or GED with 3 years supervisory experience or 5 years knowledge at L&M and 2 years of welding.
Training experience required.
Current driver's license.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
