Responsible for responding to customer inquiries, closing profitable sales orders, and processing orders received. Responsibility includes reviewing orders received to ensure customer needs are met, following through on commitments of delivery of product or information required, and proper communication of information to customers and employees who are fulfilling the order.
Primary Duties:
Help customers determine the right Crescent Electric products and services to meet their needs.
Sell products and services, offer add-on and up-sell products that may benefit the customer, and suggest alternative products when a customer requested product is not available.
Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.
Close orders and sell at profitable levels.
Reach sales and gross margin goals.
Create and maintain solid, long-term relationships with customers.
Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
Work with Purchasing Department, account managers, quotations specialists, product champions, and other branch personnel to provide competitive quotations.
Attend sales, product, and other branch/company meetings.
Expedite customer orders through the Purchasing Department.
Maintain a current library of reference material.
Interact with branch personnel to exchange customer needs information.
Back up and support counter sales representatives and warehouse personnel, as necessary.
Issue Return Goods Requests (RGR) to customers to expedite product returns.
Maintain knowledge of products and their applications. Know major competitor product lines.
Document lost sales and customer comments in order system.
Perform proactive telesales to customers assigned by branch or district manager.
Individuals must possess strong PC skills.
Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately within time constraints and against deadlines.
Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self starter, detail oriented, and have ability to multitask and to communicate (verbal and written).
Forklift experience a plus.
Knowledge of electrical distribution, product applications, and sales experience required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years of electrical industry experience required.
Bachelor''s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A college degree is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
